# Working with Synthetic Test Quota

A Synthetic test quota is a term on vMonitor Platform that represents a monitoring package via API with a specific number of API tests and alarms that you purchase on GreenNode. You can only own one Synthetic test quota at a time and use them as a way to organize resources for groups or departments to use for different purposes.

## Initialize Synthetic Test Quota <a href="#lamviecvoisynthetictestquota-khoitaosynthetictestquota" id="lamviecvoisynthetictestquota-khoitaosynthetictestquota"></a>

To initialize Synthetic test quota, please follow the steps below:

1. Log in to <https://hcm-3.console.vngcloud.vn/vmonitor> . If you don't have an account, register for free [here](https://register.vngcloud.vn/signup) .
2. Select **Quota & Usage** .
3. Select **Buy Synthetic test quota.**
4. Continue selecting **Buy Synthetic test quota.**

To facilitate the product trial process, we provide you with a Free Tier with Package 10 API test, you can buy this Synthetic test quota package for 0 VND and use them for a period of 1 month. 7 days before the expiration of this free package, you can continue to renew and use it for the next 1 month.

## View Synthetic Test Quota information <a href="#lamviecvoisynthetictestquota-xemthongtinsynthetictestquota" id="lamviecvoisynthetictestquota-xemthongtinsynthetictestquota"></a>

After you initialize the Synthetic test quota, you can view the Synthetic test quota package information that you just created by:

2. **Select the Quota\&Usage** folder .

The system displays information about the **Synthetic test quota** package that has been created and the actual **usage** you are using of that **Synthetic test quota** package . You can renew within 7 days before the expiration date of the Synthetic test quota package by selecting **Renew.**

## Synthetic Test Quota Extension <a href="#lamviecvoisynthetictestquota-giahansynthetictestquota" id="lamviecvoisynthetictestquota-giahansynthetictestquota"></a>

You have initialized the Synthetic test quota with a default usage cycle of 1 month. It's almost time for the Synthetic test quota package to expire and you need to continue using this package in the future. To solve the above problem, you can extend the package usage cycle through the **renew** feature that we provide.

To **extend** a **Synthetic test quota** , you can:

2. **Select the Quota\&Usage** folder .
3. Select **Synthetic test usage** .

5. Continue selecting **Renew.**

You can only renew your Synthetic test quota package within 7 days before the expiration date of the current Synthetic test quota package.

## Delete Synthetic Test Quota <a href="#lamviecvoisynthetictestquota-xoasynthetictestquota" id="lamviecvoisynthetictestquota-xoasynthetictestquota"></a>

You have created an initial Synthetic test quota that suits your needs. If you do not need to use the created Synthetic test quota package, we encourage you to delete this Synthetic test quota package to optimize costs.

To **delete** a **Synthetic test quota** , you can:

2. **Select the Quota\&Usage** folder .
3. Select **Synthetic test usage** .
4. In the Synthetic test quota package being used, select **Delete** .
5. At the Synthetic test quota deletion confirmation screen, select **Delete** .

After you delete the Synthetic test quota package, the deleted Synthetic test quota package will disappear from your list of Synthetic test quota packages.
