# Host Origin

## Overview <a href="#tong-quan" id="tong-quan"></a>

**Host Origin** is a type of origin used in vCDN to retrieve content from a specific server or location specified by the user. Unlike origins like S3 Origin, Host Origin is typically used when your content is hosted on internal web servers or applications.

## Detail <a href="#chi-tiet" id="chi-tiet"></a>

To connect directly to origin via the specified domain name, enter/select the following parameters:

* **Origin Host Header:** Header sent to the Origin Server in the HTTP request.
* **Use SSL:** Enable SSL to encrypt the connection to Host Origin.
