# Extend the usage period RDS Instance

To extend the usage period for an RDS Instance, follow these steps:

**Step 1**: In the Databases management interface, select the RDS Instance you want to extend, and choose the "Billing Information" tab.

**Step 2**: Click the **Buy more** button.

**Step 3**: Select the extension period under **Period** and click **OK**.

**Step 4**: After clicking **OK**, you will make a payment for the extended period. If the extension is successful, the updated period will be displayed in the **Period** column.
